AC/DC singer Brian Johnson has released a statement explaining his hearing loss and his future plans.
Johnson said that his hearing loss was affecting his ability to hear the rest of the band and he was worried it would affect his on stage performance. Doctors told him he needed to stop playing arena and stadium shows or he would go permanently deaf.
Johnson said he is not retiring and doctors told him he will be able to still record in the studio. He will focus on improving his hearing and hopes to return to live performances down the road.
AC/DC recently announced Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose to fill in for Johnson on the band’s 10 postponed shows for their Rock Or Bust tour.
