It’s the biggest K-State Football event of the year… The Purple Power Play! We’re cranking up the excitement with a two-day event in City Park with the K-State Wildcats.

Thursday and Friday, August 29th and 30th the Larry Norvell Band Shell becomes the epicenter of a show of Purple Pride. Vendors circle the park as the K-State Pride of Wildcat Land performs on stage with the cheerleaders and Classy Cat dancers.

Plus Willie Wildcat tackles the tough job of putting smiles on all the kids faces! The Coaches and players will address hundreds of purple-clad fans each night of the rally with fireworks to cap it off. On top of all that, we’ll be there with the whole K-ROCK Krew and your chance to win tickets to select games!

Where is it?
Manhattan’s Main City Park. Main events take place on the Larry Norvell Band Shell, with vendors and other side events spread throughout the park area!

Where can you park?
There is limited parking in the park, with more available throughout the neighborhoods surrounding the park. Plan on walking a couple blocks to get to the event! Handicapped-accessible parking is made available right nearby.

What is the cost?
There is no charge to enjoy Purple Power Play and its main events, although many vendors will be selling food, drink, handcrafted items, and much more!
