The disc was produced by the band and Jens Bogren (SOILWORK, OPETH, KATATONIA, AMON AMARTH) of Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden. The CD's cover artwork was created by Filipino artist Camille Della Rosa. Asked which is his favorite SEPULTURA album from the Derrick Green era of the band, Kisser told Full Metal Racket: "I never really divided our career like that — pre or post — because we have [had] a few changes. Of course, the singer was the most powerful, whatever, most radical change. But we are on our third drummer, I myself, I joined in '87, and we play songs from all over our career. We don't play only songs… like a political setlist, let's say, [or just] play the new stuff. But usually I like the newer material always. But I really feel this album ['Machine Messiah'] is our best work with Derrick. And Igor [Cavalera, original SEPULTURA drummer] was working with us ten years after Max [Cavalera, former SEPULTURA frontman] left the band. And I really like 'Kairos' a lot, because it was a very important album — first album with Nuclear Blast. It was the last album with Jean Dolabella on drums. So we had a few changes there that also changed and gave a new direction for the band. Everyone that came into the band brought something new. And that's something that we like to respect always — not try to copy formulas and try to fulfill expectations that are impossible to fulfill. Yeah, I think 'Machine Messiah' is one of our best works, period, in our career, for sure."
GWAR's David Brodsky-directed music video for "I'll Be Your Monster" can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's new album, "The Blood Of Gods", which will be released on October 20 via Metal Blade. The disc was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Ronan Chris "Lord God" Murphy and will be made available in standard CD, 2LP colored vinyl and digital formats. Digital pre-orders come with instant downloads of "El Presidente" and "Fuck This Place". GWAR is set to return to "The Howard Stern Wrap Up Show" this Halloween (Tuesday, October 31). The band will perform two songs, including "I'll Be Your Monster". The show is hosted by Gary Dell'Abate and Jon Hein and airs at 11 a.m. EST on Howard 100 and Howard 101 on SiriusXM and repeats throughout the day. "This record is gonna knock your socks off," says The Berserker Blothar. "I mean, I don't have feet, but I think that's a thing. It rocks! It is quite simply, the best collection of recorded music in the history of the world. Buy it. It will leave you feeling guilty and emotionally drained, but it feels good while you listen to it. I promise." "The Blood Of Gods" track listing: 01. War On GWAR 02. Viking Death Machine 03. El Presidente 04. I'll Be Your Monster 05. Auroch 06. Swarm 07. The Sordid Soliloquy Of Sawborg Destructo 08. Death to Dickie Duncan 09. Crushed By The Cross 10. Fuck This Place 11. Phantom Limb 12. If You Want Blood (You Got It) (AC/DC cover) "The Blood of Gods" is nothing less than a sacred text chronicling the rise of humanity against their makers, and the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that is uptight and wrong with the world. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of their great mistake, from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Humans are shown as what they are; a parasitic disease that must be eradicated before they suck the planet dry. Sleazy P. Martini comments on "The Blood Of Gods": "Sorry, scoffers, you thought GWAR was finished? You're the one who's finished when GWAR starts their fall tour after dropping their heaviest album yet. 'The Blood Of Gods' will be the soundtrack that covers up your pathetic cries for mercy. So go ahead and scream all you want. Just make sure you're in key or your death will be excruciating beyond comprehension." In support of "The Blood Of Gods", GWAR will return to the road on October 20, starting in their adopted home base of Richmond, Virginia and running through December 10 in Detroit, Michigan.

After many years, Eddie Van Halen has an entirely new merchandise store via Killer Merch. This new partnership not only includes new merchandise items, but for the first time Eddie's guitar accessories as well as licensed products. The site will continue to grow with additional apparel, art, accessories and everything EVH, making it a true home for Eddie Van Halen fans and guitar aficionados. The store is now live at www.eddievanhalenstore.com. The final show of VAN HALEN's U.S. tour took place on October 4, 2015 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California. The trek was VAN HALEN's first since an aborted North American run three years earlier in support of its then-new studio album, "A Different Kind Of Truth". Eddie was saying in 2015 interviews that the band was likely to record a new studio album after completing the trek, but he told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that he's never been one to to just churn out songs. "I'm not like a jingle writer who can just crank out the hits, so to speak," he said. "I need to sit down and really almost get to a state of mind where things just come. That's what kinda makes it exciting — it's like, 'Wow, I wonder what lurks in the plumbing today?' [Laughs]" Released in 2015 was "Tokyo Dome In Concert", VAN HALEN's first-ever live collection featuring singer David Lee Roth, despite numerous pro-shot concerts from the band's original heyday being heavily booted for years.

Veteran Dutch extreme metallers PESTILENCE will release their new album, "Hadeon", in March via Hammerheart Records. The cover artwork for the disc, which can be seen below, was created by Santiago Jaramillo from Triple Seis Design (LOCK UP, DYING FETUS, INQUISITION). The concept is based on a multi-layered reality, alien presence and negative frequencies. Following up the reissues of PESTILENCE's classic Roadrunner albums on deluxe two-CD and high-quality LP, the band is preparing for worldwide domination in 2018. Aside from intensive touring around the globe, the main focus will be on the eighth studio album. "Hadeon" is an all-out death metal attack, featuring thirteen tracks that combine PESTILENCE's old-school roots, its progressive trademark and a killer production, which will appeal to both old and new fans. Joining vocalist/guitarist Patrick Mameli in PESTILENCE's current lineup are Slovenian bassist Tilen Hudrap (VICIOUS RUMORS, PARADOX, THRAW), lead guitarist Santiago Dobles (AGHORA) and drummer Septimiu Hărşan (DISAVOWED). In July 2014, Mameli announced that PESTILENCE was "on a permanent hold" while he concentrated fully on his new NEUROMORPH project, which he said would be "more brutal, more crazy, more tech, more futuristic and more death" than his longtime outfit. Two years later, he revived PESTILENCE, initially claiming that the band would only play live shows and not record any new material. PESTILENCE is: Patrick Mameli - Lead guitar/Vocals Santiago Dobles - Lead guitar Tilen Hudrap - Bass Septimiu Hărşan - Drums

Austrian symphonic metal masters SERENITY will release a brand new full-length album, "Lionheart", on October 27 via Napalm. The disc was mixed and mastered by Jan Vacik at Dreamsound Studios. Gyula Havancsák at Hjules Design And Illustrations created the fantastic album artwork, which can be seen below. The official music video for the song "United", taken from "Lionheart", can be seen below. SERENITY bassist Fabio D'Amore told Rock Arena about "Lionheart": "The producer is the same man behind our last past albums, Mr. Jan Vacik from Dreamsound Studios in Munich, also composer and keyboarder of the band SERIOUS BLACK. The album is talking about legacy and happenings of King Richard, as known as Lionheart. All lyrics are based on historical facts, but with the help of our imagination and intuition." Regarding the production process for "Lionheart", Fabio said: "The most difficult process is always matching the schedules of all of us since we're not living close to each other, and the same for the studio activity. But it always works out well in the end. Everyone is bringing ideas, lyrics and full songs, including the producer Jan. We then select the songs we want to include after a long time process of sorting out, and then the working titles will be replaced with the final one, ones we decide the core of the message." "Lionheart" track listing: 01. Deus Lo Vult 02. United 03. Lionheart 04. Hero 05. Rising High 06. Heaven 07. King's Landing 08. Eternal Victory 09. Stand And Fight 10. The Fortress (Of Blood And Sand) 11. Empire 12. My Fantasy 13. The Final Crusade
Norwegian black metallers SATYRICON have released the official music video for the track "To Your Brethren In The Dark". The song is taken from the band's latest album, "Deep Calleth Upon Deep", which was released on September 22 via Napalm Records. The disc was recorded in Oslo, Norway and Vancouver, Canada, during early 2017 and mixed together with revered studio guru Mike Fraser (who previously worked on SATYRICON's 2006 album, "Now, Diabolical"). SATYRICON frontman Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven stated about the video: "I wanted 'To Your Brethren In The Dark' to be a director's interpretation of the song rather than a band performance type of thing. "Seeing what we do through the eyes of another artist is always interesting to me and just like the song, the video has become a little bit of a journey on its own. "'To Your Brethren In The Dark' is definitely one of the flagship songs on the record. It is about emotion, our nature, the spirits, the autumn, the sombre and rainy days, those who we lost and the ones who we have not met yet. You could say it is a tribute to the sorrow in man and to the drama of the nature we surround ourselves with. A song for the dark towers of the past and those who will rise in the future. Pass the torch to your brethren in the dark." The "Deep Calleth Upon Deep" front cover is an obscure drawing from 1898 by perhaps the greatest Norwegian artist of all time, Edvard Munch. SATYRICON drummer Kjetil-Vidar "Frost" Haraldstad told "The Jasta Show" that "Deep Calleth Upon Deep" "is an album that we have been really working a lot with for a long time. It's all about getting the right expression for each and every song," he explained. "It has never been anything that we've discussed in the band, but at least I personally feel that every song has a life of its own, a very strong and unique identity," he continued. "This album is really about giving life to those eight songs that constitute it. "Like with every SATYRICON album, I guess it's very, very diverse, and this is more true than ever with the new one," he said. "In particular, when it comes to this identity bit, I feel the songs, even if they fit extremely well together in a compilation of songs, each and every one, it's very, very different from the others — almost like human beings are different from each other."
