This holiday season, K Rock invites you to take the time to give back to those in need with the Manhattan Emergency Shelter’s “Adopt-N-Ornament” tree.
Each ornament on the tree at the Manhattan Emergency Shelter has a list of Christmas items for a single shelter resident or resident family. In addition, there are also ornaments with new items needed for the Shelter itself.
Helping is as simple as picking an ornament, checking off the list, and making a difference. Adopt an ornament today at the Manhattan Emergency Shelter located at 416 S. 4th Street!
- If you want to help out but can’t adopt an ornament, below is a list of items MESI always needs! Every dollar they don’t spend on these items is another dollar kept to spent helping the residents.
- Cleaning Supplies including Bleach, All Purpose Cleaners and Wipes. (The entire facility is cleaned every day)
- Paper Towels
- Toilet Paper
- Trash Bags
- Boxed and canned food (they have their own food bank to reduce the stress on the Breadbasket)
- Office Supplies including copy paper, envelopes, and pens.
